Micro-Memoir Workshop

Sharpen your writing chops and tell the stories that are important to you! In this six-week workshop, participants will learn to make a long story short by getting down to the marrow to tell stories that are impactful and resonant. We’ll study successful micro essays to see how published writers move their readers with words. Working from daily prompts, each session will result in a new piece of flash memoir or essay, which will be compiled into a chapbook at the end of the workshop. Participants will have a chance to share their work at a public reading at the end of the course.

Getting Dirty: Plant-Based Writing Workshop

Writing is much like gardening with words. Both endeavors require you to dig deep and have faith that something unique will flourish from your efforts. This workshop will take place at Little River Cooperative Farm and will include a hands-on gardening activity followed by a flash writing experience. Farm-fresh snacks will be provided. Please bring sun protection, water, and writing utensils.
